Qantas, Australia's national carrier, is set to increase its flights from Bengaluru to Sydney to meet the peak holiday season demand. The airline will increase flights from five per week to daily between mid-December 2024 and late March 2025, adding over 12,000 seats between the two cities over a four-month period. The flights will add to Qantas' existing service from Delhi to Melbourne, which operates three days per week.

Qantas' flights from India are operated using its fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft with 27 Business Class suites in 1-2-1 configuration. All international fares include checked baggage allowance, food and beverages, and inflight entertainment as standard. Qantas is also introducing 'fast and free' Wi-Fi across its existing fleet of international aircraft, including A330 aircraft, starting next year. The expansion is aimed at carrying more travellers to Australia in summer and helping families and friends reconnect over the holiday period.
