Moscow is launching its annual large-scale urban initiative, "Summer in Moscow," starting on June 1, 2025. The three-month program will transform the capital into a hub of cultural, charitable, and sporting events, inviting international visitors to experience the city's rich heritage and dynamic atmosphere. From June through August, Moscow will host a variety of open-air activities, most of which are free and accessible to all.
Pictured boulevards will be filled with open-air theatrical performances, vibrant art installations, and interactive cultural workshops, creating festive hubs for locals and tourists alike. Pop-up markets with local crafts and live music stages will showcase Russian folk and contemporary artists, fostering a lively street festival atmosphere.
The 2025 edition of "Summer in Moscow" features an extensive lineup of festivals, including the Moscow Estates Festival, Theatre Boulevard 2025, Gardens and Flowers Festival, and the 11th International Day of Yoga. These events will take place at over 40 historic estates across the city, with over 150 performances and 3,000 artists from Russia and abroad.
Moscow's renowned parks, such as Gorky Park and Zaryadye Park, will be focal points, hosting lively dance events, vibrant evening parties, and enchanting opera evenings under the stars. International visitors can explore 13 "Made in Moscow" art pavilions, including the Green Market at Bolotnaya street, offering eco-friendly crafts, sustainable designs, and workshops on environmental artistry.
In 2024, "Summer in Moscow" attracted over 38 million visitors, with international guests particularly drawn to concerts in historic estates, local markets, and open-air festivals. The program's accessibility and variety ensure it remains a highlight for visitors seeking to connect with Moscow's cultural and artistic offerings.
